129: Kaytranada – Track Uno

So far this year, I have purchased 10 albums in CD form and had one in the post from HMV out of the blue because a Bloc Party in-store signing was cancelled (in order, it turns out, for me to interview them). Most were cheap ways of stocking up the archives, reflecting my growing needs for local music (or delicious WAVs) and desires to utilise Amazon Prime to the fullest. Two, however, were actually bought on release day after very positive initial playthroughs. The first was Eric Prydz‘s Opus, which I reviewed for The Edge at the time. The second, which I shall certainly rave further both to and about in the next few days, is Kaytranada‘s XL debut 99.9%, an album fittingly kicked off by the panache-laden ‘Track Uno.’
