131: Dua Lipa – Hotter Than Hell

Last night, I found myself merrily pissing around with Spotify’s interactive API console for a thing I’m working on that you’ll probably see at some point soon, making the most of the incredible discovery that if you chuck some of their 22-character track/album/playlist identifiers into the console you can unearth all sorts of magical ratings given to everything on the service to see music in a fashion as beautifully algorithmically as Discover Weekly does. Early findings include the reason I, unlike apparently everyone else, prefer Dua Lipa‘s ‘Be The One‘ to new, far more mathematically energetic (0.868 vs. 0.651) and still very great track ‘Hotter Than Hell’: apparently I favour the added danceability (0.661 vs. 0.532).

Also, perhaps, Vauxhall Corsa ads.
