133: Verka Serduchka – Dancing Lasha Tumbai

Seeing as Eurovision is two days from now and my love letter to the continent’s annual night of whimsical patriotic musical bollocks has just been published over on The Edge‘s website, there’s no better time to remember one of the all-time great performances from the contest. Verka Serduchka of Ukraine thoroughly scarred my 10 year old self with not one but TWO key changes that only Alvin the Chipmunk would demand, and I wouldn’t trade that experience – or any of…whatever this is – for all the douze points in the world.
