148: Flume feat. Kai – Never Be Like You

It’s Flume day! After 3+ years since Flume‘s odd, glitchy blend of hip-hop and exploding melodies captivated his homeland of Australia before trickling further around the world with remixes for the likes of Disclosure and LordeSkin brings* a more refined production sound and more obvious pop moments (like the lead single we see today) along with collaborators assorted from Vince Staples (‘Smoke & Retribution‘) to Beck (‘Tiny Cities’).

*Well, I hope so. He was inconsiderate enough to stream an album listening party on Facebook while I was trying to do my radio show a few days back. Nevertheless, I’m sufficiently hyped to already have tickets for his show at Alexandra Palace in November. It’ll be lovely.
