160: Glass Animals – Gooey

Until second album lead ‘Life Itself’ oozed its way onto the Surge playlist recently, I’d never come across Glass Animals, which is a shame. I’d heard of things named after them – Surge’s Peanut Butter Vibez was named by a line in this very song – but I’d been missing out on the joys of the gloopy, almost AlunaGeorge-esque production, thoughtful lyricism, and, well, glorious and sickly captivations exhibited best by Zaba‘s ‘Gooey.’
